New Years Possibilities

As 2013 approaches, I find myself becoming more and more hopeful that it will be my year.

2012 was....rough.  I resolve to make more of an effort to stay (get?) healthy, find a new apartment (house?) and spend less/save more. I also hope to make more friends and take more trips...explore everything that is out there.  I am going to try to appreciate people for their flaws and become more tolerant of lifes minor annoyances.

Until then, if there's a New Years Eve, there's gotta be a dress! Here's a few things I'm eye-balling for the big night. *Click on images for link.

This adorable pink dress from Nordstrom - I LOVE pink! $98

I don't know why, but I'm super drawn to anything with mesh.  $52

Love black, nude and lace. Even though I'm past the "bow" stage and into my early 30's, I'd wear this in a heartbeat. $115

One of my current favorite colors-Oxblood.  The ruching hides alot of flaws.  I have a Nicole Miller dress similiar to this that I paid WAY too much for. This one is $155

I really, really, really have been wanting a leather shift dress. This one made it's way into my cart. $268

iPhone Camera Roll

Hey everyone! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. Mine was very relaxing as I was sick the majority of the time (Boooo!). I spent alot of time alone and with my family. It was a tad lonely, but needed, I guess.

Here is one of the new posts I mentioned earlier. Just a couple random shots from my iPhone. I think looking at people's phone photos say alot about them, and are just interesting, so I'm sharing a few of mine with all of you.

Amazing bloody mary from my trip to New Orleans.

Spanky out job hunting with his new attire. Hehe.

Cool photo of the trees at dusk outside of my apartment.

Another cool photo: early morning on the golf course. the clouds almost look photoshopped (they aren't).

Girls night with my friend B.

The BEST Thai Pineapple fried rice ever.

My little Rolling Stones rocker.

Wish List

As Christmas gets closer and closer, I find myself making a list of more and more things that I can't wait to buy in the New Year.  I'm really needing (wanting?) some tops, a new watch and a few odds and ends, like perfume and shoes.

Here is my wish list. *Click on photo for link.

Recent Purchases

I've scored some pretty awesome things these days (even though I'm not supposed to be shopping for myself this month!).

Here are a few of the things I've purchased:

Michael Kors Silver Chronograph watch - love this watch! The perfect oversize "mens watch". I have it in gold AND silver (hoping santa brings me the two-tone one).

FlowerBomb Perfume-smells Ah-mazing!
Vince Camuto bad ass gold spike heels. I have gotten SO MANY compliments on these, it's ridiculous.
BCBG Generation gold tipped heels. LOVE.
Gap work pants for my new job
Some Old Navy tanks
Some Forever 21 necklaces

A few of my favorite things.

I wanted to post a few of my favorite beauty items that I just cannot LIVE WITHOUT! My absolute staples.
Clockwise:

Sephora Super Supreme Body butter. So thick. So moisturizing. Smells clean. Non-clogging. My skin gets really dry (especially as I get older) and this gets the job done-without being greasy. I exfoliate in the shower and slather this stuff on before bed, and in the morning-soft, moist, supple skin!

bareMinerals moisturizer. This is moisturizing for the face, without clogging or being greasy. LOVE IT, especially mixed with my foundation.

Clairsonic cleanser. Goes hand-in-hand with another Godsend-the Clairsonic exfoliating brush. I only use this once every 3rd day (it tends to dry out my skin if I use it more than that). It makes my skin feel SO clean. Well worth the $120 price tag.

Clinique Super Rescue Night Moisturizer. Non-greasy, I wear this at night. I'm getting paranoid about my neck and decolletage area. This works well to fight age.

Weleda Rosemary Hair Oil. As I get older, my hair is becoming more brittle, as is my scalp. I massage this onto my scalp once a week and sleep in it overnight. It smells night and is kind of a pain to wash out, but my hair and scalp feels great because it is.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare 'Alpha Beta Glow Pads' Exfoliating Anti-Aging Self-Tanner for Body Tan Towels. These are amazing because you use one or two and you get a light, healthy glow. No oompa-loompa orange, and no stink. They don't rub off when you work out and they last 2 weeks. Super affordable and easy to use. Just remember to exfoliate well before you use them.

Forever 21 Favorites

I'm back! I've taken a long break from blogging. I've had tons of things, both good and bad, happen throughout the past year, but I'm ready to be back at my favorite past-time-blogging and sharing my love of fashion, shopping and life! I recently got a new job AND new apartment. I'm going to make 2013, MY year.

I plan on revamping my site as well as adding a few favorites that I know that I like. Posts such: as What I Want Wednesdays, Splurge vs. Steals, and Weekend Photo Roll posts; along with more outfit posts as well as other randoms.

Here a few favorites that I've been eyeing (Forever21 has some great things lately!):
